Orbital Education is a company set up by Kevin McNeany. Kevin started his career as a teacher and lecturer in schools and further education institutions in Northern Ireland and England.

In 1972 he founded Nord Anglia Education and over a period of 30 years established this company as a successful education company with schools in the UK and overseas.

In 1997, it was listed on the London Stock Exchange.

Whilst involved in a wide variety of educational provision ranging from nurseries to careers advice for teenagers, a major part of the company's success was due to the successful establishment of independent schools in the UK and international schools in central and Eastern Europe and also the Far East. Before he left Nord Anglia in 2005, the company was educating over 4500 pupils in its schools worldwide.

In 2005 he stepped down from Nord Anglia Education to set up new educational ventures. He founded Acorn Care and Education, a company providing expert resourcing and tuition for children with special educational needs and placements for fostered children. During his time with Acorn, Kevin grew the group to having eleven such special schools.

Currently, as well as concentrating on developing Orbital Education, Kevin is also Chairman of the Manchester Academy of English, a British Council recognised English Language School and Teacher Training centre. Orbital Education enables him to continue his major interests and strengths in developing schools overseas for the children of expatriate parents.

As well as the English International School in Moscow, schools are currently being developed in Korea, Hungary and Spain.
